Philanthropy

Social responsibility necessarily includes philanthropy, which is a very important value for us and our Group. Whether it is an investment of time, goods or finances, we believe that meaningful support for worthwhile causes is important to human society.

Since the company’s inception, we have always strived to help others. Proof of this is the establishment of the Up Group Foundation in 2017, thanks to which we have already funded countless projects with organisations such as ROSA, which fights violence against women, or Give Children a Chance, which helps children and young people from children’s homes prepare for and enter independent life.

Up is also involved in the community, whether it is fighting the war in Ukraine or helping with natural disasters such as the floods and tornadoes in Moravia or other current issues. However, we are most proud of the commitment of our employees who support with their time and money and start new projects every year, some of which you can see below.

How do we help?

• We have been supporting the charities Alsa and Cesta domů for a long time
• We are part of the Aktivní město project, which supports sports activities in Czech cities
• We regularly organize charity collections – drugstore and food, or clothes for DDM
• We run charity company breakfasts
• We buy products from sheltered workshops and use them as gifts for partners
• Our tables are decorated with charity calendars for the benefit of the Konto bariéry
• Children of employees receive a charity Advent calendar from Dejme dětem šanci

What do we observe in the workplace?

• Rounding up wages for the Naděje pro Tebe matching fund
• We have three days off for charity
• We have our own Up Foundation
• Our employees and board members regularly participate in many charity events (Teribear, Prague City Swim, Běh dobré vůle, etc.)
• We are all involved in challenges such as Movember, Slipper Day and the Sock Challenge
